The Training Programs for Resident in Ophthalmology

        All residents will receive the basic and clinical training in ophthalmology systematically, including special examination and treatment in clinics, and being an assistant for operations. Under the supervision of visiting staffs, they perform the surgeries of pterygium, strabismus, blepharoplasty, eyeball laceration, cataract and glaucoma…etc. They also advance to be involved in the research program and medical administration.

1. All doctors must attend the Mortality and Morbidity Conference (MMC) at noon of the last Wednesday in the month.

2. Joint-Teaching Hospital Program with NTU:

(1) Doctor Chien, Cheng-Chun, NTU Hospital chief in retinal service was provided to be an adjunct doctor of Ophthalmology Department on every Saturday morning.

(2) The resident will rotationally receive the training program in NTU for three months per year during the 4-year residency.

(3) Publish the papers with NTU.
