Dr. Kuan-Yu Hung, M.D. Ph.D.,
OVERVIEW
Dr. Hung was graduated with highest rank from medical school of National Taiwan University (NTU) in 1988. Dr. Hung received numerous awards for his basic and clinical studies on renal disease as well as peritoneal fibrosis. He was executive investigator in several clinical trials such as the studying of recombinant human erythropoietin in dialysis patient, low molecular weight heparin and in peritoneal dialysis. For his distinguished academic contributions, Dr. Hung was honorably elected to be in the Editorial Board (2004~2011) of the Blood Purification, a famous and the official journal of International Society of Blood Purification. He also was invited to be the Subject Editor of Nephrology, the official journal of Asian-Pacific Society of Nephrology (APSN) during 2005~2010.
In addition to having published over 230 scientific original articles, Dr. Hung has written over 80 educational articles and Ten textbooks for public awareness of kidney diseases as well as medical quality and patient safety.
